Bimini is a small island jewel floating on the eastern edge of the Gulf Stream. Pirates of the Caribbean, Ernest Hemingway and the Fountain of Youth all come together to make this Island an amazing place to kiteboard and explore. With steady winds, crystal clear water and beautiful deserted beaches makes this an Island you have to visit. The kite addicted, travelling with families and friends need not worry. Non-kiters can enjoy the best off shore and near shore fishing in the world. Take a dive with wild dolphins, Shark feeding, Snorkelling ship wrecks or Stand Up Paddleboard to a desolate beach. LOCATION

Bimini is situated approx. 50 miles due east of Miami, Florida. Positioned on the Eastern edge of the gulf stream. You can get to Bimini either by taking a your own boat or catching a flight. Direct Flights into Bimini are from Ft Lauderdale International Airport with Continental Airlines, Bimini Island Air, Bahamas Express or Pioneer Airlines

Bimini Kiteboarding is open year round, we get light sea breezes through the summer months and then consistent North Easterly throughout our windy season from October to April. We have Kayak Adventures, Stand Up Paddle Adventures, Shark Swims and feeding, Snorkelling Adventures and Wakeboarding Lessons year round.

ACCOMODATIONS

Bimini Sands Resort and Marina – Bimini Sands is a wonderful place to stay with all the amenities including 2 swimming pools, Beach Bar (on kite beach), Sushi Bar, 2 Restaurants, Boat Charter and the ship store. The accommodations are all self contained condo’s finished to a very high standard and they vary from one bed to 4 bed.

Thursty Turtle – The Thirsty Turtle Yacht Club is a short walk from Kite Beach, they have a Bar and restaurant and the rooms are standard doubles or singles.

Crackershack – The Crackershack is a large self contained house with canal access for your boat or Paddleboard. It is approx 3 minute walk to Kite Beach. The Crackershack can accommodate group’s up to 10 people.

Boat House – The boat house is a small self contained unit on the waterfront at the Crackershack. This unit sleeps 2 singles or a double.

GUIDE

Chris Quinn currently manages our operation in Bimini. Chris comes from a sailing background and became the youngest sailing instructor in the UK at the age of 13. From then on Chris knew that his life would follow his love for the ocean. Chris is highly qualified to teach Kiteboarding, Sailing, Windsurfing, Powerboating, Kayaking, Wakeboarding and Rock climbing. Chris is here to make sure that your vacation in Bimini is one that you will never forget.

KITEBOARDING

We offer instruction for everyone whether you are a complete beginner or advanced rider looking to land that new trick. Bimini offers many different launch locations depending on the wind direction. From October to April the wind is predominantly out of the North East and the Summer months out of the South East. Beginner lessons and riding is done on Kite beach year round and for the more intermediate rider or advanced rider we go to one of our off site locations including our Bayside Launch, Cat Cay, Honeymoon Harbour, East Wells or the Sapona. All of our Adventures and lessons are supported by a rescue boat. Bimini offers only Flat water conditions.
